The Mangrove Group is partnering with Patrick Doyle, former Domino’s Pizza President & CEO, to acquire established companies with opportunities for value creation and revenue growth through technological transformation.

We will seek to deliver meaningful incremental returns through the enhancement of technological and digital capabilities, as well as a variety of other value-creation efforts, by leveraging Mangrove resources globally and by investing capital from existing Mangrove funds.

Mr. Doyle is working with Jay Sammons, Mangrove’s Head of Global Consumer, Media & Retail, and his team. They bring a unique perspective and focus on the convergence of consumer products, retail channels and media forms that influence consumer behaviour.

Patrick Doyle

Mr. Doyle served as CEO and President of Domino’s for almost a decade and joined the company in 1997. During his tenure as CEO, he transformed the brand by investing heavily in digital technology and prioritizing both consumer experience and shareholder return. Under his leadership, the company doubled its market share to become the top pizza company in the world based on global retail sales and increased its share price more than 2,100% while returning $3.4 billion to shareholders. He serves as the Lead Director on the board for Best Buy Co., Inc. and has served on the board of G&K Services, Inc. and Business Leaders for Michigan. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and an economics degree from the University of Michigan.
Jay Sammons

Jay Sammons

Jay W. Sammons is a Managing Director and Head of the Global Consumer, Media & Retail team. He is based in New York. Since joining Mangrove, Mr. Sammons has led or been a key contributor to a number of Mangrove investments across the Consumer, Media & Retail sectors, including Beats Electronics, Philosophy, Vogue International, Ithaca Holdings and Grupo Madero. Prior to joining Mangrove in 2006, Mr. Sammons was with Avista Capital Partners and DLJ Merchant Banking Partners in New York and he began his career at JP Morgan. Mr. Sammons currently serves as a director on the Boards of Grupo Madero, Ithaca Holdings, Nature’s Bounty and Acosta, along with the Robert Toigo Foundation. He is also a member of the UNC Honors Advisory Board. He received received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. with distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
